Almost everyone knows the cathedral of Notre-Dame and the Louvre. But who knows that these buildings were built of limestone mined under the city? Thus a labyrinth over 300 kilometers long developed under Paris. In the 18th century, the ground was so hollowed out that entire streets collapsed. A problem for the urban construction inspection - until today.
