Bread & Stulle Beer Bread from the Walsroder Market Bakers

The Walsroder Beer Bread is a new recipe from master baker + bread sommelier Andreas Stadtländer. He likes to tinker with new recipes with his son Yanneck, who is also a master baker. Wife Tanja contributes her much-loved Manacor variety, a colourful Mallorcan bread with capers and tomatoes that the Stadtländer family usually only serves at Christmas. It is accompanied by delicious bread skewers with leftover bread, tramezzini with salmon pickled in gin and Manacor panini. When Tanja dines out in Walsrode, she does it right. The passionate cook conjures up culinary delights from bread. Together with her husband Andreas, she has been running the Stadtländer bread factory, a fourth-generation family business, since 1998. Since 1892, the Stadtländer family from Walsrode has lived and loved the art of baking bread.

When Andreas took over the more than 130-year-old traditional bakery from his father, he only wanted one thing: to bake healthy bread, but of course to stand out from the rest. And that's what the Stadtländers do, travelling mainly to weekly markets all over northern Germany to sell their breads. They are supported by their son Yanneck, who is now the fifth generation to take over the business.
